The overage in car repairs has highlighted some major problems that need to be dealt with; which means June hasn't started off on the strongest footing, given this is already an expensive month to begin with. It will be quite a challenge.
The overages in cell phone and entertainment are explained in this post. I bought a new cell phone and a new TV(my first one).
All the rest of categories are just bad management of money. I obviously don't expect to stay within the limits every month as they are more of a guideline than they are the law. I did notice something interesting about my Gas budget though. It has a pattern of one month being under budget and the following month is over. I guess it depends on how close to the end of the month I fill up.
Being 125% over on your monthly budget is obviously crazy and may seem impossible, especially when you don't make the combine total of the actual budget and the overage. The thing is... Both the TV and cell phone should have come out of my savings but I did everything possible to try and negate going into it. Although I was successful, it did come at a price. I've been able to do this by "juggling" money somewhat and not putting anything into my short term savings. Right now there is a balance on my credit card(don't worry, I won't be paying any interest) and I've also got what would fall under a non interest loan. I understand what I am doing/did is kind of dangerous but I really didn't want to use my savings.... At least not until it is absolutely necessary which I can see happening this month.
I think that about covers my drop jaw horrible budget for the month of May. I'll post my net worth next and then get into detailing what June will be like. For the month my birthday falls in.... I don't think June likes me very much.
