Will try and run through this one fast since it is really late. Plus it shouldn't need to much explaining since I posted my spending report on Monday.
So my net worth plummeted by a whopping $1000. That's the biggest drop I have ever had excluding when I bought my first car. The drop obviously came from purchasing a new smartphone and a new TV in the same month. There wasn't much I could do to spread it out as I bought both on opportunity. My aunt was coming in from the U.S.A so I got the phone at almost half of what it would cost here and the TV price went up just 2 days after I got mine because it was on sale as a promotion.
If you pay attention to my updates or you saw the last one, you would notice they are two new items listed under liabilities. One is the TV which I bought on credit. I get it at cash price(no interest) once I pay for it in three months; I'll be finishing it this month so it actually only took me one month. The next one is a meeting I joined with my mom. It is basically a no interest loan. For a deeper explanation, I did a post on it a while back; see here.
Last thing I want to report now is some predictions. I expect my net worth to remain stagnant over the next three to four months; it may even drop a little. That's because, the end of this month starts my biggest yearly expenses, car insurance, road tax and school fees. They all come at the same time which is right after my birthday (how unlucky is that). The car is also at the mechanic right now getting fixed and having some maintenance done (sigh). These expenses are all spread out over the three month interval and because I don't want to hit my savings unless I have to... My spending report/budget is going to be ugly as I juggle money around. If things get out of control though, I will definitely resort to the savings.
Despite the drop. May was still an awesome month for me. I got a new TV and smartphone. It also was just a generally great month. Stress free and lots of time to relax given that school is out. Was much appreciated and a very happy month. I hope May was great for everyone as well. We are now ending the first half of the year, time is really flying these days. I hope we can all have a prosperous year going forward to the last half.
See you soon.
